INITIAL THOUGHTS When I first played this game, I did not know what to expect. I had not played the previous entries in the series and really just wanted a fun racing game. I saw this on the shelf at Game Crazy, back when they were attached to every Hollywood Video, for under 10 dollars. This may have been one of the best 10 dollars I have ever spent on a video game.
During the first race, I was just trying to move up positions from third to second, and I have position on a fellow driver. A concrete post was coming up, and I just thought this would be a "expletive deleted" move. I ended up running the player head first in to the post, and to my surprise, a Picture scene with the term PILLAR DRILLER showed up. From that moment, I was hooked.
GAMEPLAY A classic arcade racing game, Burnout Revenge is a fast paced racer that rewards you for driving dirty and intentionally wrecking your fellow racers. The cars handle nicely, and is still highly playable, despite the game being two generations old.
REPLAYABILITY Burnout Revenge has a high level of replayability as you can enter crash mode and keep trying to beat your high scores, or better your results in different races.
RATING 4.3 Antlers out of 5. Even though the rating is only 4.3, I would highly recommend everyone play this game. You will not be disappointed, even if you are a not a racing game fan
